Luggage rack for Kawasaki GTR1400

The rack is machined from a single 3/8" thick 6061-T6 Aluminum plate. It is over 1/4" thick at its thinnest point. It is machined on both sides to round all edges, to produce the radius points on the ribs, and to perfectly fit the recess in the grab-rails. It uses all the stock mounting hardware. Being 3/8" thick, It is far stronger, and many times more rigid than either the original or replacement plastic racks. It is more attractive and more appropriate for the bike than the stock plastic model. It is powder coated in a finish very similar to the black on the saddle-bags. The tops of the raised ribs are “brushed” aluminum that can be refurbished easily if they become scratched or discolored. The open slots allow numerous options for mounting accessories and allow fore – aft adjustment of approximately 2-1/2". This is beneficial when mounting a top-box so you can adjust it for your passenger’s comfort.
